Karachi: Love it or leave it!

What comes to your mind? McDonald’s at Sea View; Time Medicos opposite Aga Khan Hospital; Gulf Shopping Mall; Dolmen City Mall; Food Centre at Burns Road; Chips at Boat Basin; Karachi Gymkhana; and an ever famous clock tower in Saddar I once mistook for the Big Ben.
Even though this city has grown like a plague of nasty mushrooms, Karachi offers so much, and continues to remain distinct on the map of Pakistan.
Keeping aside the usual chaos that this city undergoes, it is a metropolis that never sleeps. A place that never dies, despite many innocent deaths. A metropolis where every single being remains robust and nocturnal. Even though getting conditioned to bloodshed and violence is soul piercing, Karachi possesses a zest to be the best. It acknowledges festivals, celebrations and random occasions. These things have never gone unnoticed.
Thereafter, the need to take immediate and effective action arose. As a prompt measure, the political leadership decided to implement military courts through the amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan and the Army Act of 1952. This was the 21st Constitutional Amendment that was passed in January 2015 as part of militancy crackdown following the massacre in Peshawar.
What makes Karachi even more magnificent is the colossal water body attached to the South; precisely, Sea View. Being a Karachiite, I can proudly boast about this gentle component, that no other has. To me, the magnificent presence of the beach is sublime and moving scenery. After the rigorous functioning during the day, just staring at the waves battling together is a sight for sore eyes.
The foregoing characteristics of Karachi are so soothing—they keep me alive despite carnage, horror, and all sorts of terror that is attached to this city. This city demonstrates a perfect blend with moving times. Karachi—love it!
