Badal Do!

Badal do has been a fresh initiative to engage school teachers from a cross section of society to bring about inclusive and innovative tools in education.The initiative aims at adopting creative and innovative methods to make peace, social inclusion, diversity, and tolerance part in the classrooms and beyond via experiential learning, interactive teaching methods and creative approaches using collaborative spaces and mediums of theatre, arts, and music.
Following its successful first phase of training 200 teachers from 100 schools of Karachi, Badal Do held a grand orientation on 31 July for its second batch of teachers soon to be trained and the launch of their website.
With 230 teachers from 116 schools, from middle and lower middle income socio-economic strata, in this batch, Badal Do is expecting for a far greater social impact.
The yearlong project is to be led by a consortium of seven well reputed organizations: AzCorp Entertainment , Society for International Education (SIE) , Pak-American Cultural Centre (PACC) , Teachers’ Resource Centre (TRC) , Children’s Museum for Peace and Human Rights (CMPHR) , the School of Writing (TSW) , and Mind Map Communications (MMC).
